I have learned how to applique, paper piecing, and precision piecing. I started with the beginning quilter classes and built from there. I use many of the techniques for cutting, stitching and organization I learned in Dana’s classes. They have been the foundation to my quilting success. The best thing about Dana’s classes is we have all become Sew-Sisters, sharing our life stories with a lot of humor. I love you Dana!
I’ve been taking “Block-a-Month” classes from Dana for about 3 years now. I enjoy her teaching style – very supportive and she takes the time to compliment on the good points of each person’s project. I learn something new in almost every class – whether from Dana, or one of the other students in the class. I really enjoy the supportive community of the quilt group – and love watching their projects progress each month. It thrills me to go to a quilt show, look at a quilt I admire, and realize that now I have the knowledge to make that! Of course, there is still so much to learn – but I’m enjoying the journey. And yes, I highly recommend her classes!
Dana’s classes have encouraged me to explore patterns I thought were beyond my skill level. I recently completed a complex paper pieced and curved piecing pattern, Summer on the Delta. When I shared the photos with Sew Sisters, their compliments and feedback made me realize how far my abilities have come. Dana’s instruction is well delivered and helpful hints perfect to guide me toward more complex projects.
I highly recommend Dana’s classes! She is so patient and paces her classes to fit her students. She’s a sweetheart whose love of quilting shows in everything she does.
